Skills Group
Our skills group is focused on creating a therapeutic setting where individuals can come together to learn and practice specific skills aimed at improving their mental health and well-being. They will be led by a Qualified Mental Health Professional who will guide participants through structured exercises and discussions.
The purpose of a skills group is to provide a supportive environment where individuals can acquire practical skills for managing emotions, enhancing relationships, and coping with stress and life challenges. By participating in a skills group, members can learn from each other, share experiences, and build a sense of community, which can further enhance their personal growth.
The goal of a skills group is to empower participants by equipping them with tangible skills that they can apply in their everyday lives. We will be focusing on areas such as emotional regulation, mindfulness, effective communication, problem solving, and distressed tolerance. By mastering these skills participants can improve their overall functioning, reduce symptoms of mental health disorders, and achieve greater stability and satisfaction in their lives.
